CRIMINOLOGY LICENSURE EXAM REVIEW PROGRAM

The review has the following components:

The program is broken down into two (2) sub – programs that will strengthen all the learning areas of the reviewees, to wit:

PHASE ONE: An intensive review which basically deals with comprehensive lecture sessions of the Criminologist Licensure Examinations’ (CLE) Table of specification. Reinforcement on important topics will also be incorporated.

PHASE TWO:

    1. Simulated post- test, mock board and pre-board examinations and rationalization
    2. Expert test-taking strategies and decision-making skills
    3. Final coaching and rationalization
  1. Curriculum development
    The proponent develops a tailor-made curriculum that will strengthen weakness areas and reinforce strong learning areas.
  2. Review classes
    The review classes will be conducted per schedule.
    At the end of the review, the students will be able to
    • Discuss the major theories and basic concepts and principles of criminology
    • Explain the philosophy, elements and principles of professional criminology practice in various settings of practice.

     3. Evaluation
     Evaluation includes:

  • outcome (summative) evaluation methods in the form of six sets of examinations
  • immediate outcome examinations (per subject area)
  • integrated examination
  • simulated board examination

     Process (monitoring) evaluation methods through

  • monitoring of attendance and class participation
  • periodic appraisal of student performance and remedial sessions for those not performing very well
